Talgarth Relief Road

Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for Brecon and Radnorshire, Kirsty Williams, has welcomed the announcement that a contract has been awarded to design and build the Talgarth Relief Road.

The Transport Minister announced the award, which is hoped will improve safety and traffic flow in the area, last week.

Ms Williams said: "This has been a very long time coming. I am very pleased that a contract has finally been awarded and hope that the construction work will now begin in January as the Minister has promised. Local people have had enough of delays and uncertainty. A swiftly constructed and effective relief road scheme would be a fantastic Christmas present for all who use the road."
