AM Meets With New Chief Executive of Powys LHB

Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for Brecon and Radnorshire, Kirsty Williams, has this morning met with Judith Paget, the newly appointed Chief Executive to Powys Local Health Board.

Ms Williams described the meeting as both "very positive and forward looking".

She went on to say: "I took the opportunity to stress the importance of building bridges between the LHB and the local communities that it serves. The LHB must now begin work to regain the trust of local people and I see our meeting as a very encouraging step in the right direction."

"We plan to continue to meet on a regular basis in order to maintain this positive channel of communication and to ensure that we keep abreast of what is happening within our local health service provisions. I am pleased to see that this appears to herald a new and improved approach from the LHB and will be working to ensure that it is maintained."
