Kirsty Williams AM for Brecon & Radnorshire has welcomed the news that the Community Facilities and Activities Programme is to fund over £400,000 for projects in Brecon and Radnorshire.
PAVO (Powys Association of Voluntary Services) is to receive £300, 000 to establish a Community Facilities and Activities Local Fund for small scale community regeneration projects.
Pontneddfechan Village Hall is to receive £100,000 for renovation of the children's play area and a sensory garden.
Victoria Hall, Llanwrtyd Wells is to receive £7,500 for refurbishing its floor.
Kirsty said: "This is wonderful news. I am delighted that these brilliant and diverse projects are now able to go ahead thanks to this funding.
"It is all too often urban centres that receive funding for regeneration and I am pleased that rural Mid Wales has been recognised as needing assistance to regenerate important community facilities.
"These communities and local people will benefit fully from this well deserved money."
