Kirsty attends the Brecon and District Branch Soroptomist dinner in Talybont

Kirsty Williams AM for Brecon and Radnorshire was delighted to become an honorary member of the Brecon and district branch of the Soroptomists International.

Kirsty joined members in celebrating the installation of their new joint presidents for 2009/10 Kay Jenkins and Rhina Jones, at a dinner in the Usk Hotel, Talybont. Kirsty was welcomed into the club in recognition of her career achievements as a working mother.

Kirsty said: "I am delighted to become an honorary member of the Soropimtists International and am grateful to the Brecon Branch for this generous gesture.

"The Soroptimists do great work in seeking to end human trafficking and all forms of violence against women along with helping the disadvantaged both here and abroad and I look forward to working to support these aims."
