I send Carwyn Jones my warm congratulations on becoming the leader of the Welsh Labour Party. He will now become First Minister and needs to hit the ground running. There are many problems in Wales that need addressing; the struggling economy, poor health service and an education system facing big cuts.

"One of Carwyn's first priorities must be to state his intentions on the timing of the referendum for further law making powers early in the New Year."
