Kirsty calls for slower speeds on A483

Kirsty Williams AM for Brecon and Radnorshire has called for an extension to the 30 mph zone on the A483 in Builth Wells.

Kirsty Williams said: "During the Royal Welsh Show Week the 30mph zone on the A483 in Builth is extended further out of the town out towards Cilmery. I would like to see this extended all year round to help improve safety. Traffic including Heavy Goods Vehicles regularly uses the road and I believe that we can reduce overall speeds by enforcing the slower speed limit further out from town. I have written to Transport Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones AM asking for further speed monitoring and to ask about the extension of the zone
